Meeting Location
Meetings are usually held on Mondays every other month at the Saanich Centennial Branch Library of the Greater Victoria Public Library,3110 Tillicum Road. During COVID meetings are being held on Zoom. Please check blog posts for updates!
Doors open at 7:00 pm, meetings start at 7:30. Come early to browse the fine selection of children's books from Schoolhouse Teaching Supplies and Children's Bookstore.
Who Are We? And What Do We Do?
VCLR is one of many Roundtables across Canada whose mandate is to support & promote children's literature. We are teachers, librarians, authors, illustrators, parents, and children's book industry professionals.
- We host kids' book launches and meet the author/illustrator evenings, literature-related educational programs like "Choosing Books for Reluctant Readers", and programs for the next generation of creators.
- We contribute to a national annual Information Book Award & liaison with groups like The Canadian Children's Book Centre.
